Off-Site Substance Abuse Assessment and Treatment Programs

WHAT WE DO

Mosaic’s Partners in Recovery staff conduct screenings of teen parents and adults for substance abuse as required by the Department of Social Services as part of their application process for public assistance. Screenings are provided at eight Baltimore City Social Services offices. Substance abuse screenings are also provided at two Department of Social Services sites for parents with open Child Protective Services cases. Assessment, referral, and follow-up services are provided, if needed. This program is funded through the HB-1160 Temporary Cash Assistance and HB-7 Child Welfare grants.

In-Hospital Screenings

Mosaic Partners in Recovery staff provide in-hospital assessments for substance abuse, and referral to treatment for mothers of drug-exposed newborns. This program is funded by a SB-512 Children in Need of Assistance/Drug Exposed Newborns grant.
