Residential Counselor - Ellicott City, MD

Mosaic's Child and Adolescent program has part time openings for Residential Counselors at the therapeutic group homes for adolescents.

Duties:

Under the supervision of a Program Specialist/Program Coordinator, participates in the intervention, planning and re-evaluation of residents needs based on behaviors. Acts as case manager for assigned residents. Serves as a role model for residents on and off grounds for various activities. Instructs, assists, and monitors residents in accordance with rehabilitation plans. Assists in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and related experience.

Must possess a valid Maryland Driver’s License and have a current driving record with less than (3) points on it at the time of hire. Must possess valid automobile insurance coverage.

Must have a vehicle during working hours and utilize that vehicle for work related duties, including transporting clients as necessary.

Skills sufficient to interact effectively with the psychiatrically disabled with the goal of gaining cooperation and meaningful participation.

Ability to work alone or in a group.
