Current Opening: Mosaic is looking to hire an adult CRNP for a new public health initiative in Baltimore City and County locations, providing health assessments and triaging to individuals with mental health and addiction disorders. The ideal candidate likes new, cutting-edge projects and enjoys being part of a team that includes psychiatric and addictions practitioners. This is a two year grant funded position with a completive salary. General Summary: Performs a full range of professional nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care. Administers medical treatment under a delegation agreement with a physician. and is responsible for teaching both clients and employees. Documents and reports patient progress to treatment team. Responsibilities and Duties: · Actively seeks to provide quality services that meet the medical needs of Mosaic clients participating in the MCHRC project. · Performs physical exams and functions in a triage capacity to respond to immediate medical needs of clients. · Establishes relationships with primary care physicians serving Mosaic clients and coordinates delivery of services. · Provides consultation, instruction, and supervision to staff working with clients. · Meets regularly with Mosaic treatment teams to provide medical updates on clients. · Educates clients about their illnesses. · Documents client medical information. · Supervises service coordinator assigned to project. Requirements 1. Knowledge on nursing theory, principles, and practice, in addition to the knowledge and licensure allowing the diagnosis of health disorders, as well as the licensure to prescribe medications. 2. Current license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. Maintains professional knowledge and skills through attendance to professional meetings, workshops, courses, and in-service sessions. 3. Analytical ability and sound nursing knowledge for the effective assessment of, diagnosis of, and treatment of disorders. 4. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with psychiatrically ill patients in order to gain their cooperation, allay apprehensions and provide effective health education to patients and family members. 5. Ability to physically intervene in medical and emergencies, transport patients, and assist in the lifting of a patient. 6. Possess a valid Maryland State issued Driver’s License and have a current driving record with less than (3) points on it at the time of hire.
