Family Intervention Specialist

Current Openings:

Must have current Maryland Social Work License

Salaried postion, Moday - Friday, either 11a.m.- 7p.m. or Noon - 8p.m.

Duties:

FIS serves on a (3) person IAP (Intensive Aftercare Program) team, whose other 2 members are a DJS-employed Case Manager and a Case Monitor. The FIS collaborates with the team to address the overall program goals, with particular focus on the mental health needs of the youth/families.

Requirements:

Work requires a Maryland State license as a mental health professional.

Work requires two years of experience working with children with conduct disorders and other associated mental illnesses.

Work requires providing individual and family counseling.

Work requires experience working on an interdisciplinary/interagency team.

Work requires high level verbal and writing skills.

Work requires ability to work under pressure and deal with crises.

Work requires ability to use a laptop computer to 1) create documents, 2) access or inter information into DSJ databases, and 3) communicate by email.

Work requires possession of a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile. You must have a current driving record with less than (3) point on it at the time of hire.
