Benefits Counseling Specialist

Full Time, 1st shift.  Position does require ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.  This position is based in Baltimore County.

Duties:

Requirements:

Possession of an Associate’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology or related discipline

and/or 2+ years of direct job related experience.  

Skills sufficient to interact effectively with persons who have psychiatric disabilities in order to gain

meaningful participation.  

Skills and knowledge in performing supported employment activities including identifying and

negotiating potential jobs, getting clients integrated into jobs, providing job coaching assistance,

and client advocacy with employers and clients.  

Must possess a valid Maryland driver’s license with less than 3 points annually, and a safe driving

record.  Use of own vehicle required.

Ability to pass a criminal background check. 

Ability to work in a team environment and  autonomously at times with demonstrated creativity,

intiative and commitment.
