Thank you for supporting Mosaic Community Services during our first Create for Recovery campaign. The monies raised by individual artists on Crowdrise, and through our eBay auction, are already being invested into new art supplies and opportunities for Mosaic’s clients to experience art therapy.
Create for Recovery is a campaign that enlists artists, professional and amateur alike, to consider the relationship between mental illness, addictions, and art. If you’re interested in participating in 2017, let us know by emailing Kate.Joyce@mosaicinc.org so we can keep you engaged throughout the year. Personal fundraising pages can be set up as early as January 1.
Brief bios of everyone who participated in 2016 can be found here: http://www.createforrecovery.org/artist-partners/.
We are grateful to the members of Mosaic's Art Committee for planning a successful and fun inaugural Create for Recovery reception and art auction! Artists, board members, staff and friends came together on June 15, 2016 at Make Studio for an evening of friendship, creative expression, thoughts on recovery and bidding! Guests viewed the art and chatted with cell phones in hand, bidding via eBay to snag their favorite piece.
Every piece of artwork created, shared and generously donated by our Create for Recovery artists was purchased, with funds raised supporting the art therapy program at Mosaic. A great time was had by all and everyone is looking forward to next year!
