What is Business Services?

At its core, Business Services, offered by Alliance, is a contracting company – we employ more than 400 individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities, helping them become valued members of the workforce.

Our 400+ Alliance employees are responsible for fulfilling more than a dozen service contracts through state and federal programs (Maryland Works, Inc. and AbilityOne).

Alliance is a competitive service contractor. Our high quality of work encourages continued success and growth; some of our customers have been with us for over 25 years. Employers trust us because they know our employees are hardworking, carefully prepared, and strongly supported; and, we match skill sets with specific employer needs. We even put our employees to work in our own properties, where they provide maintenance services, landscaping, and more.

We train our employees to provide a variety of services, including:

  • Custodial and janitorial services
  • Landscaping
  • Other facility maintenance services

We serve many facilities and organizations in the Maryland area. Some of our current clients include:

Why seek employment through Alliance's Business Services?

When you are seeking a job through Business Services, chances are, we can get you to work right away. We believe in providing quality training, which can include classroom learning, on-the-job experiences, team trainings, and even using a ‘buddy’ system.

All of our employees receive traditional benefits; our employees are covered just like individuals in the commercial world are. But, we offer more than just traditional benefits – we provide the additional support that commercial companies don’t. We understand that our employees may need more assistance than others, and have counselors/evaluators available to help employees through difficult situations, like dealing with landlords, utility providers, and working with medical professionals.

How do I get a job through Alliance's Business Services?

The contracts we service require that 75% of our staff have a qualifying disability. If you feel that you may qualify for our program, or you are not sure if you qualify, please contact our recruiter at 410-282-5900 x3027. Individuals employed by Business Services that have a qualifying disability will need to sign a medical waiver and provide a diagnosis from their doctor. After that, our recruiter will interview you, and focus on putting you to work in a field and location that best utilizes your strengths.
